  • If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Weis Markets?
Become a serious competitor to top-end franchises like Whole Foods, Wegmans, Trader Joe's, etc. Stop trying to place a front-facing placard on a really rough behind-the-scenes trash bin. This brand of Weis has some respectability, but they are squandering it on really bad and, in some cases, dangerous behind-the-scene activity. Raw chicken and meat product production set up within a few feet of fresh produce like sandwiches and pizzas. Zero training on safety and sanitation, aside from absurd online training modules that are not taken seriously.

More opportunities for full time employment withOUT needing to be in management and better incentives for hard workers than a 10 to 30 cent raise per year. Could also include better benefits for the part timers, which are near nonexistent.
