I have been at Medela for 10 years. I feel completely expendable. I started as a temp and have worked my way up 3 positions but now I am stuck. There isn't much room for advancement. I have applied for other departments but was denied due to lack of experience. How can I gain experience where I am?
I appreciate the health and dental insurance
I like that they are kind and intelligent.
I like that Medela is all about moms and babies.
I like getting work done, quickly and efficiently. I enjoy problem solving. I love helping others.
I feel like most of them listen to me as an employee. They hear my ideas and concerns.
Some of my coworker complain about the work or the other assemblers on the line they are working on. The negativity is contagious.
Most people come to Medela to work and get along with each other and do the best they can. There are some however who don't.
I love the family environment. Most employees here have families that they have to provide for. Seeing each other everyday, I feel like we are more than just coworkers. We are Family.
In my position I am trained in many other areas than my responsibilities. When I am filling in for a position that is above mine, which I sometimes do, I would really like to see extra compensation that comes along with the extra responsibility.
I would like to see more communication from the Executive team personally. I like when they come and visit production to see us and tell us how things are going within the company. I fell like we are excluded from the workings of Medela when we are important. Without product there is no company.
