This was a hostile work environment and the bosses (officers) were horrible to work for. They also spend funds raised for the community on their personal homes, etc

There are a few that sit in the bosses office and gossip about other staff members and then get new office furniture or taken out to eat etc

Let the professionals (not the officers) do the interview. A person should not be hired because they had a cute dress on. One gentleman (who was qualified for the position) was not hired because his shirt was wrinkly.
