The Salvation Army Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Acrual of sick time & vacation pay. Would be easier for everyone if all closed holidays are decided & anounced by January 1st. (it changes yearly)

After 5 years I will be vested and get retirement. Something that I truly need.

Medical Benefits and stock benefits

Vacation time is really good

Review from Sales Dept

Affordable health and dental insurance package. Free life insurance is also nice.

Review from Marketing Dept

The medical insurance and pension

Our health insurance an dental care

Medical is the best part

I get paid pretty good.

I appreciate the Salary Packaging

Review from Customer Success Dept

Review from Communications Dept

The benefits are the best of course.

Healthcare coverage and pension are good.

Review from Executive Dept

Review from Executive Dept

Good health insurance. Blah blah.

Review from Communications Dept

Health care, housing allowance and provision. Not paid a lot, but ample when we have small debt or no debt

Review from Admin Dept

Salary in at par with othersimilar organisations

Review from Finance Dept

After 90 day if obtained a full time position you get full time reasonable price full time benefits

Review from Sales Dept

Being paid 12 dollars an hour and transportation is provided to get to work.

Review from Admin Dept

Health insurance and 403B match

Review from Finance Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

At least some bonus will be nice

Not lying on timesheets and taking away worked time for starters. Not taking holidays away when theyre given in advance.

Review from Sales Dept

It's not that kind of job working for the salvation army. As far as I know, anyway. No one has mentioned benefits probably because I am part-time

After I had a consultant do a salary analysis of my position in my region of the country I learned that my salary is not competitive with others in my industry. I recruited a full staff in the middle of a national staff shortage in my industry, and increased program fee revenues in my department.

Micromanaging and no room to grow because of superiors inferiority complex and unstable work flow.

Review from Admin Dept

A couple members from that church goes to church together there the only ones getting $11 hour

Review from Customer Success Dept

I recieve mo benefits and i dont feel fairly paid as i do. Other peoples job sometimes

Review from Operations Dept

note a problem that was ok

I would like to speak to someone. Please email me directly

Respect for all who work

You really can't put a price on doing what God expects

Because no one helped me or made it a safe environment to work in

Review from Customer Success Dept

Higher pay. Office positions at the local level requiring "experience" and "higher education" make less or the same as the high school student just starting a job at the gas station next door. You go years without a raise and when you do its way less than inflation regardless of job performance.

I got paid peanuts until i complained that someone with a similar degree that was just hired, made $5.50 more an hour than me.

treat employees bad, have favortites

Keep up with wage inflation, give benefits to every employee not just full time. Hire full time instead of 2-3 part timers.

All positions paid the same regardless of performance- why try?

Review from Operations Dept

More compensation, and genuine appreciation.

Making near minimum wage is not enough to support myself or anyone who wants to become autonomous.

Review from Operations Dept

Work with seniors who have health issues
