The Salvation Army Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

It's the people I work with every day, trying to cut through the corporate bureaucracy.

The customers are the best part

My peers in management and the staff in my department.

Fellow part timers being supportive and trying to make sales goals.

The people of whom I served.

There is none here at this location

Doesnt really have a good working culture to be honest but there is a nice big break room and a comfortable area to have your lunch

We have a diverse group of people if all ethnicities. Something I believe is very important.

Our morning prayer is the most important part of the day.

People's attitudes and working with that positive energy

The people I work with! They are real & true and I love my fellow employees!

We are very focused on team building, clear communication and providing great service.

Helping those who are in need.

Nothing at all nothing at all

I like that there is a diversity among all the staff and clients

NO discrimination, we serve everyone.

The Salvation Army provides opportunities to serve people. Rather than focusing on numbers, we emphasize relationships.

Review from Operations Dept

Donors are the most important!!

People working together for a common good.

Coworkers are friendly some customer are nice

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

The management needs to be honest and make sure monitors are doing thir jobs. How do someone in a wheelchair search and wand and do clothes?

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted a month ago

Better processes to allow fast decisions

The managers the training and the protocols

Review from Admin Dept

Fair enough pay check we worked for

Review from Customer Success Dept

Get with the 21st century; stop blaming staff for management errors; stand up for your staff when customers are berating/cussing/threatening them!:

Learn how to treat the workers

We need to get more hourly pay and free life insurance. We get offered insurance but can't afford it working part time as that is all they offer. Need to be more compassionate to people who use their sick time because of severe medical issues and not reprimanded.

Review from Sales Dept

They need to move the officers because they are rude and passive aggressive.

Have better managers running the place

Change policies, get in touch with reality.

open honest communication across the board

Review from Operations Dept

The management staff completely needs to be changed.

The manager being nice to ALL customers NOT just her ethnicity. Put a smile on and say hello to not only customers but most importantly our loyal customers. In which she has rudely embarrassed myself and the loyal customers (10 years plus) to the point that they stopped shopping there.

Review from Sales Dept

A survey or a townhall staff meeting where staff can express their opinions without threat of employment loss would be great.

Review from Operations Dept

Communication skills & more training on being Christ like using equipment (jack) and not only identifying depression but on what to do next to save or help a life.

Review from Sales Dept

the store needs to hire hourly people for 6 days a week, so they would be more in control of the work

Review from Sales Dept

Less gossip, and people actually working

Review from Sales Dept

Communication and lack of policies being followed

Review from Operations Dept

Less confusion and more help from upper level management and DHQ.

Review from Sales Dept

A new set of rules that everyone follows correctly.
