Medela is still a good company to work for though some of the unique employee perks that made it extra special have faded away over the past 5-10 years. Stress levels have been heighted over the past several years as staffs have been reduced but new projects and changes have been on the rise.
Medela has overall been a good company to work for, but not without its challenges. There have been a few workforce reductions over the past several years, which always adds to stability concerns. However, as a company Medela strives to do what is right for a good experience for their employees.
Friendly, knowledgeable, open to share information and work collaboratively.
Interacting with my coworkers at a personal and professional level.
I find the pension program to be the feature that really sets Medela apart from other employers.
The bonus and pension programs add a lot of value to the overall compensation beyond the base salary.
The interactions I have with my coworkers and knowing the work we do will positively impact our customers.
Good communication regarding the business and performance of the company. They also recognize areas were we have challenges.
The leadership team balances the needs of our customers with the needs of our employees, especially in these difficult times.
Interacting with my coworkers and solving issues and completing projects together. It is a good sense of accomplishment when we are able to make a customer happy.
While it has reduced a little over the past several years (even pre-COVID) Medela still has a family feel to it. Recognizing the employees as people and not just employees.
Generally friendly and have a mindset of working collaboratively. Very few instances where it appears individuals have a personal 'agenda'. Great at working towards common goals in support of the customer.
The openness of communication. I feel I could email the CEO as much as I could one of my direct reports. Also, the core behaviors focus us on what is important across the company.
Our openness and camaraderie. We care about each other as people which I believe improves our ability to deliver results. It gives us open communication and not afraid to share our failures as well as successes.
