As someone who has worked in management in a variety of different capacities, I was dismayed that pay for management was on the lower end and that there was very little flexibility for said rates.

The culture of the hotel is very uplifting, but also professional. We all compete to have the highest GSS or the most name mentions, and that really fosters an environment of happy, supportive, and eager individuals.

We all come to the table with our different personalities and quirks, but this is what has made our team stronger. We all recognize our strengths and weaknesses in real time and work together to accomplish all of the goals of the day.

O que você mais gosta nos lideres?

My favorite part of the leadership team at The Sheraton Grand is that each individual actively cares about the success of the teams as a whole and the success of the hotel. When things need fixing, they are calm and fair. When things are going well, they shower their teams with praise.

O que faz você mais feliz no trabalho?

At work, I am most happy when I am able to turn someone's day around. It isn't always easy to approach someone who is visibly upset, but being able to work with them to provide solutions and to put a smile on their face makes all of the hard work and bad days worth it.
