
I've seen and been part of the growth if this company over many years. I believe that the leadership and the people all try to live our WHY everyday while adhearing to our values. AEVEX is a great place to work and being part of an innovative and growing company is exciting.
People are generally in alignment with our values and why. Folks tend to like working here and those that leave often express interest in returning. I think we have some misalignment in compensation and raises; 401k match, COLA, pay rate, and PMs should be part of the bonus pool.

There is a thread of steady base business with a good amount of variety and new efforts being bid and coming in the door. I enjoy that mix along with leading and mentoring my team.
I believe the leadership team is focused on doing what's right to scale the company while providing a meaningful value proposition to our customer, teammates, and ourselves. I do believe they care about the work and the people.
A lot of effort has been put into the culture and in general reality matches what we say it is. It can be difficult for a company to maintain its culture as it scales and I've seen some indications of that here over the last year or two.
Base pay is low compared to responsibility not just for me but across the company. There is often an issue with more recent hires direct and non-direct getting paid more than seasoned loyal employees. Focus seems to be on the pay for recruiting new talent vs retaining valued employees.
Our 401k match does not provide a reasonable percentage to be a legitimate part of an individuals retirement plan. Wages have not kept up with inflation, AEVEX should of course base raises on merit but also a base COLA increase that compensates employees for inflation should be the starting point.
I feel that progress has been made but Im still on the mid to lower end if the scale for my position. There is little room for advancement and new people are brought into the company and often times compensated more than people that have been here for years and working hard with proven results.
