Most people are friendly and approachable, it is pretty easy to engage in conversation at work if you want to. There seems to be a common goal at the workplace and everyone usually sees the value in what we are doing.
AEVEX is currently below the local market rate. Conversations with management about compensation increases seem to be untrustworthy. AEVEX should adopt a policy that shows ranges for each position instead of discouraging employees from discussing salaries in order to maximize profit.
Our customer appears to not be fond of our leadership when compared to others. There seems to be a shadiness when dealing with AEVEX leadership. Obviously the company is here to make money, but it is not being handled correctly; not an easy problem to solve. More quality vs quantity?
The issue is the competitive market and AEVEX hiring underqualified employees. They are hired by a program manager, not a site lead, who has no idea of what the job entails. They are hiring to fill the position with the minimum amount of qualifications that is acceptable by the customer.
AEVEX needs to work on having better relationships with their employees through team building and events. Right now the only time we hear from management is when something is late or when we are doing something wrong. A "how are you doing" can go a long way in making an employee feel valued.
