Overall, I can have a positive outlook on my experiences at this company. Some things could definitely change for the better, but I do like working here and I hope the way forward is always positive. Paid military leave would be great too, so service members don't have to choose to lose money or PTO
I loved working here, until I started watching my friends get laid off just to be brought back and laid off again, unqualified and new people make more money than me without receiving a raise, and hearing about the things upper management says and/or does about employees.
Learning new things, bettering my skills
All of my co workers make significantly more money than me, even though I train them and have the same/more experience than them in this field of work
My direct supervisor is one of the best I have had. He is always supportive and does his best to provide better career opportunities even when the company doesn't
I like that he goes out of his way to defend his team members and trusts they can do their job without him over their shoulder. He seems like he cares about us
For the most part, none of the managers hover over their team members, which for most makes work a lot more comfortable. Also being provided snacks and drinks helps keep people active and fueled
Some people are cool to talk to, they make being at work a little easier. Others not so much, they are always in a bad mood, make smart comments and/or bring everyone else down around them
My team is very laid back and everyone is comfortable with each other for the most part. Some members of the team do not vibe well with majority of the team, but overall everyone usually gets along
I feel undervalued because I know certain members of our team are not compensated the same even though some have more qualifications and skills. New members come to the team and receive more compensation and opportunities than those who have been here
Certain team members try to constantly one up their coworkers and sometimes makes a distressing work environment. I think managers having maybe once a month 1:1 sit down with their team could help air out problems or talk about goals without creating a hostile environment
They believe in a life outside of work, the rest got taken away. I do like as you get more time in the company you get more PTO. The culture has changed in a not so positive direction, having a "let them walk" attitude when someone is upset about something isn't healthy for employee retention.
