Previous companies it seemed like my efforts weren't paying off. With Lamar I'm actually working towards something and getting results. In addition, they have opportunities nationwide and you frequently hear about long-term anniversaries and retirement announcements. That says a lot today.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Some days are fast paced, some are slow, my GM is very involved and a great resource as well as REM's at other plants. We hustle to get the job at hand done but can also make each other laugh. There's always room for advancement.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Room for bonuses, affordable healthcare, fair salary.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Their involvement and commitment to the company and their employees.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Business is our number one priority but we have the same sense of humor.
What makes you most happy at work?
I have a general manager that's very involved and I can also set up my own schedule.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone's on the same page with our objectives in moving forward but we can also make each other laugh.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I know not all companies offer what Lamar does. Having come from that I really appreciate what I have here.
What makes you most happy at work?
Working with others on projects, new builds, continuing renewals, acquisitions, changing negative outcomes for the better by gaining an initial nay-sayer's trust. Seeing everyone.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They go above and beyond the "job description" in their leadership. So far, mine have been great mentors and coaches not just in the field but in life.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They know it's all a group effort. There's no one in operations or sales that sees themselves as more important. Everyone's playful enough to help the day go by and still disciplined enough to stay caught up with everything.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My GM and coworkers. I love what I do but gained a very close group of positive people when I transferred. My GM has been there for me personally and professionally throughout the ups and downs of self improvement, both as an employee and a human being and he continues to do so.
