Very often overwhelming and very poor management or Direction it just seems like anymore any one of us is just a number and our direct management is not really concerned about our morale or even our well-being at sometimes when they are there
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I want to be positive and a valuable member of the company but the way things are going it does not seem that way at all I'm getting tired of scratching and fighting to barely provide for my family sad to say if things don't change I will have to change them after 16 years of being with the company

We've been together and grown within this company like family and we truly care about one another

I can only speak about my location but I can't really see much positive about the culture or environment of my plant

The majority of us have been together for 10 plus years my immediate workers are like family we have been through a lot together
What makes you most happy at work?
At first I was always up for the challenge and learning new things but since the new management has taken over it seems more like a burden and an untamable goal to learn new things or Advance forward
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There is no culture or environment at my workplace the installers in the back and the people are in the front are separated and kept that way by management we do not do any mixers or Christmas parties together so how can you get anything positive from that
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
My location has had problems for quite a while the company is a whole doesn't seem to be worried about us the newest management has divided us so bad that we went Union so that has just made the relationship between the company and the installer is worse I wish somebody higher up cared
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The leadership needs a treat everyone equal is not US versus them Lamar is a great company to work for but still has a long way to go as in taking everybody's views and opinions to Heart and in my opinion when this is done they will have no problem retaining good quality people to work for them
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
They say this is a career and if so I should make enough here to supply the needs of my family but I do not I barely make enough for rent and what other needs we have I'm stuck if I should look for something better or have to get a second job and that is very sad
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
This is the 6th year of us being Union and we're no better off with the company it's them against us all the way all the time they say we're family but they do not treat us like it at all they do not see the reasons why we went Union and do not care about them so it's very hard on the morale
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I've worked for Lamar for quite a few years and it's sad to find out that I could go to work at McDonald's and make about the same or if not a few dollars less with no risk I work in the construction side and we are Union and it seems like we have to fight and Claw for everything we get but we are f
