Been with Lamar for 6 yrs & would rate the first 5 as very good overall. The mktg and research dept, pardot, corporate support overall top notch. But the past yr has been pretty miserable due to poor mgmt. I know this isn't the case with all Lamar mgrs as I've dealt with good ones in other mkts.

On the corporate level overall it's positive. My individual office management could definitely improve.

Good resources for training, research, sales materials etc

Helping and interacting with customers

An actual base vs a draw or a higher commission rate

I'm remote so I have very little in-person interaction with my team
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to truly help my customers and getting positive feedback from them. To become their trusted go-to person. It's nice to hear that they like working with me.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I like my fellow AE's. As a remote employee I don't get to interact with them daily, but anytime I do they're pleasant and helpful. My sales coord, artist and RE rep are all fantastic to work with.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Allowing us to do our jobs without constant micromanaging (which really just started this year). Everyday is a frantic fire drill to make a monthly budget even when salespeople have made their individual one. It's a recipe for burnout.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel like compensation program should be uniform across offices. Some have a true salary (base) plus fair commission rates; some have draw against commission with completely different commission rates. We're one company we should be compensated the same way.
