It's a great place to work. My one critique: Sometimes we are spread a little too thin as we try to launch a suite of new products, which can take a toll on devs over time. If I could change one thing it would be to shelve two products we are building and focus on making the rest excellent.

Growth! We're willing to push into new market segments and learn from our mistakes.

The questions were less about esoteric data structure manipulation and more about practical challenges of building real software

Helping set technical direction for a group of developers, and contributing to making them more effective at their jobs.

Having a lot of ownership and autonomy over the projects I work on, but also having accountability to other leads

They have a clear vision for building products that are useful to the church, and are actively looking for ways to improve.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is always pushing to grow their technical capacity, and members have a high bar that they hold each other to.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm paid fairly for Bellingham, but not as much as I would be getting paid if I worked remotely for a larger company or a startup.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They're willing to act on employee feedback and work with any level of the company to get things done. There's a high emphasis on integrity and transparency.

We are building useful products for churches and solving real needs that they have. People who work here are excited about solving this problem, as well as solving hard technical challenges.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I work directly with other dev team leads. They are always looking for ways to make their group more effective and provide great feedback to me and the devs that they lead.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I have a lot of impact working as a lead developer and get to help set the technical direction for my team. and still have the flexibility to take time off to take care of my family, no questions asked.
