I love my job. I love that I can impact a mothers breastfeeding journey in a positive way if she needs help. I love that I am trusted and respected by my health professionals and that I can support them with education and resources. We need to get back to being a strong company leading the way.

They genuinely care about the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby
What are some of the best things about your team?
We support each other and we always manage to have a laugh, which is so important to me as laughter brings joy! We all genuinely care about mothers and their babies, and the benefits of breastfeeding and breastmilk.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am given the title of Sales Consultant which enables management to tell me I am paid a rate comparable to other Sales Consultants. Compared to other hospital medical device companies I would be classified as a Territory Manager. My salary and car allowance compared to other TM's is on the low side
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
We need to get back to our roots. Quality products that serve customers well and we feel proud of what we do, not constantly handling complaints. There is always more focus on retail but the hospital business is important too, where many women will exp a pump for the 1st time. Innovate dont follow!
What makes you most happy at work?
I love being able to sell my products through education on best practice. I'm not just a sales person, I can change lives by influencing what happens in the maternity ward. I want women in hospital to have a positive experience with Medela and know that its a brand that makes things better for them.
