What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone is very supportive, usually happy to answer questions or weigh in on situations.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I'm not being paid as much as other people with similar years of experience in my field.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Compared to other places I've worked, the leadership team seems to be transparent and up front about goals, finances, etc. which I appreciate.

What makes you most happy at work?

The amount of collaboration and support between teams that allows us to make a confident and scientifically-backed call for variants. I know providers and patients are getting the best product possible.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I really love hearing how so many people have been around for 5, 10, 15+ years. That really speaks volumes about the culture here and how Ambry seems to be heading in the right direction even if it feels behind the curve sometimes. It is stable.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The mean for other genetic counselors with 12 years of experience in non-direct care positions is $28k higher than my base salary according to the 2023 NSGC PSS. I'm easily in the bottom 25% for this category. Awesome benefits and low employee turnover (job security?) help.
