When I can get what I need done without dealing with any drama of social issues or office politics.

There are reasonable updates to them every year or so. It appears that HR is constantly looking to be competative.

Not being distracted by noise and office politics. The job is to focus on the work and to write good software.

For the most part, the day to day is about the work and a laser focus on getting a good product out to our customers.

They are competent and focused on the work and the product. They don't chime in on social issues permeating the news. The goal of the company is to write exceptional software and have devoted customers.
