If you are a "woman or person of color" (their words not mine) you will do well as you get into management. They literally have VP bonuses based on that. People should be hired based on qualifications. Race and Gender should not be something you are measured as an employee.

What's the work from home policy like at Comcast?
Depends on where you work but some positions do have WFH schedules.
Used to be great until recent. Now we have meetings every day in the office at the end if the day.
Varies between each department and supervisor, but if you're able to and need to they're generally open to it.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Comcast?
Pretty difficult

"Yes men" until they burn out.

Upward mobility. From an entry level position, one can advance quite quickly if they work hard.

Very poor environment unless you're one of the selected few that gets treated well. Plus encourages shady activities.
at local level there isn't much "FAIRNESS" the promotions need to be reviewed and balanced for ALL RACES
get rid of the open office space very non-production, no personal space, no room to work, etc.

There are none.

bad...leaders take feedback personally and they will retaliate against you

What's the pay like for Customer Support roles at Comcast?
Starting rate was between $14-$15/hr. After the 6-8 week training, you will start your regular shift. Second shift associates do receive a 10% shift differential.
Since the company is not union, The pay is not what it should be
I think the pay is good. More than other customer support jobs I have had
What's the vibe like in the Customer Support dept at Comcast? How many hours are you working?
The vibe working for comcast was very very very stressful. Constant back to back calls. Little to no support for irate customers. Standard reply for " I want to speak to a supe is, they will call you back" which they almost never ever do

Fun and collaborative. It's a fast paced, dynamic environment that rewards success and supports growth through hands on development. It's an inclusive environment that welcomes new ideas to the table and it's a company willing to take risks and do what's right for the employees and for our customers. I work full time 40 hours. Comcast does pay overtime when available or requested.
