We are not paid for company meetings or inventory. We have all excepted it.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We work together when someone is running behind. That means that when we help others, we are not compensated for our time.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
With Mastec, every 2 years we get a paycut. The best improvement for AT&T / Directv would be to remove Mastec and hire us directly at an hourly rate. I love my job however I'm fed up with making less and less. I have 10 years experience and I'm excellent at doing it.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Mastec. I 'm paid piece rate, which means that I'm only paid when a job is closed. If I go to a home and the job cancels, I don't get paid for my time. In the past 10 years I've had 3 days where I worked all day for the company and was paid nothing. Another issue is every 2 years we receive a paycut
