What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company? There are lots of ERGs and positive advertising about those ERGs, there seems to be compelling diversity initiatives re: hiring practices. We have Monday and Friday rituals to come together as a company and have fun presentations. We use Lattice for positive feedback/shoutouts!
What makes you most happy at work? What makes me most happy at work are my interactions with the customers and colleagues who are friendly and kind, and also the knowledge that I am being compensated for my work. Compensation is why literally anyone works under capitalism - so we can afford to live.
What do you like best about the leadership team?I like that the two company co-founders are latinx and first generation. I like that Scott seems personable and seems to care about the employees who work here. I like that they seem committed to the company's success and the product's development and enhancement.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?STOCK OPTIONS! Let employees have stock options again. The 401k match is only $500 per year. There is pay inequity across teams with the same roles and levels of experience i.e. folks' with more work experience making less in the same role, making it seem like our work is inconsistently evaluated.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?I really enjoy my role at Drift but believe a higher salary and more aggressive bonus structure would make my compensation closer to what I would be offered outside of the organization.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?Very dramatic and driven by emotions rather than reason and logic

We continuously seek more diversity in our talent pool because we believe that true innovation reflects varying perspectives, skills, and backgrounds. We are intentional about our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts because we believe that by cultivating an environment where our diverse employees can thrive, we will be able to better serve our global customers. ,,As a company who invented its own category and is part of the just 2% of VC backed start-ups led by Latinx founders, we care about innovation. Diversity of thinking leads to increased innovation and lowered risk, and some diverse thinking comes from demographic diversity, like gender and race/ethnicity. We also recognize the systemic barriers to diversity in the tech workforce. So, we've looked at our demographic data by gender and race/ethnicity, and acknowledging that they are not at a place where we can call our teams balanced with underrepresented people, we have created aggressive hiring goals that will bring in more women and people of color. ,,Drift also encourages and actively supports the grassroots formation of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) by groups of underrepresented people with a felt need for community within our offices. Within these groups, people are able to connect with others from similar backgrounds or lead as an ally to inclusion, which we hope boosts their sense of belonging. We believe the individuals in these groups are representatives of the diversity of thought and experience that contributes to our success and we will look to them to hold us accountable with regards to our business practices.,We currently have eight ERGs at Drift. They are:,- Inclusion@Drift ,- Women@Drift ,- Rainbots@Drift (LGBTQ+ ERG),- Cambio@Drift (LatinX ERG),- STEM@Drift,- Mental Health@Drift,- Parents@Drift,- Sustainability@Drift,
