Compensation should not be viewed in silo, the entire PACKAGE is important. The 3 keys however, are base salary, incentive compensation, and health benefits and all there meet my expectations.

Good balance between base salary and incentive compensation. Need to return to disclosing TOTAL annual compensation including company paid benefits (i.e. insurance, 401k match, etc). Giving this to employees at the time of merit increase allows managers to reinforce the total package.
