I believe that first merchants cares about their customer base. I believe that we could have more support and better pay on the branch level.

Other banks pay their tellers more.

I enjoy interacting with customers and seeing my co workers.

The new dmi system is very confusing and not user friendly.

My team ensures a positive environment for the team and our customers.

At my specific branch, it is my co workers on the teller line.

My manager works hard to make sure our work life balance is fair and equal.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Teller's at other institutions make more than we do at First Merchants. Different responsibilities taken on should mean more pay.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Our insurance is not great. It hardly helps me or covers anything. It only covers 1 medication out of 5. My previous job covered all of them. Other banks have more competitive pay.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Considering what it is like on the teller line everyday, interacting with customers when things aren't going well. For example, the day of the michigan integration we were still to open because higher ups said to. customers were not happy with the lack of technology we had available.
