I have only been here a short time, but I have worked at many companies, including banks. I have never felt more welcomed on my first day. The training was excellent, although my mentoring was not terrific.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
First Merchants has been very good to me. After only a year at my job I had emergency surgery requiring me to be out for two months. I was very grateful for that my manager held my job for me, and worked with me so that I could ease back into work.

The culture is much more employee friendly than other banks I have worked for

The culture is so different from the last bank I worked for, much more "fun" but still making customers feel special.

Although I was not expecting a raise, I was very pleased that the leadership team made the effort to figure out what salary would support a person in this day and age. I have never worked for a company who cares so much for its employees
