I was a contracted employee before I worked here. While I personally enjoy having a day job and steady hours, I do see many things this company is doing that are pointless, wasteful, or out of date. I am hoping to advance and make a career out of this type of job though.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I love banking. However we are so behind with technology it shows to our customers that we are not as up to date as other banks. I do not appreciate the inconsistencies in policies and procedures that affect our customers. FMB needs to do internal work to become more reputable and functional.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
my managers are very supportive and great with any questions we have. Jan fosnaugh is great whenever i have questions or need clarifications.

I don't know the "leadership team" this team was never specified to me. I know who works above me? As for leadership team I've never heard the term used until now.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are like a family. We all work together to understand each others differences and work to find ways to communicate better with each other and our customers to keep experiences consistent
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel that with the current state of expenses $17.00 is not fair compensation for the knowledge and security that pertain to my job. There are people working at mcdonalds for $15.00 an hour starting and all they are doing is making food.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There are inconsistencies across the fmb footprint branches are telling customers different information. We get one thing told to us on the Comsumer report and then find out that's not the policy and its just for some cases. Then have to reach out for confirmation on what we are told in emails.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Nicole Galloway is amazing at her job. She knows so much about how to help her customers and employees. Michelle Owens helps the teller line with everything and even our managers at times. She thoroughly goes through all policy changes and helps us all to understand them and is great at teaching.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We don't get 40 hours anymore after the time cut on Fridays. We are not allowed to get overtime and have to take comp days to work Saturdays. There are constant spelling errors in all sections of this company. Things we need fixed do not get fixed while funds are spent unnecessarily on landscaping.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I make $17.00 an hour. I make around $2000.00 a month. My younger brother works at hobby town....he makes $15.00 an hour....I am handling much more business and at a higher level of work skill. The wages here are sub par in my opinion. Also the credit union is hiring at $21.00 an hour starting pay.
