My experience has not been great. The insurance benefits do not provide for an individual with medication needs. My coworkers are not great and the manager is not managing in a way that would benefit the team.

It is has been overall a neutral experience. The company has many improvements to make with technology and benefits for employees.

I like the positive attitude and how they show the why behind things.

My team is very honest and easy going which makes for a great work environment.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to help customers and make sure they are happy leaving the banking center

They are working to make changes for the better of the company and everyone who works for First merchants.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Need new coworkers or to see a change in the way my coworkers interact with each other. Also want to see more structure
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Yes my coworkers need to improve by working more as a team instead of individually. There is a lot of competition in my office and i do not enjoy it
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love to see all the evolvements with the community that the bank offers for employees to participate in and seeing the results of these events like pictures and things like that are awesome.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
the individual scorecards make for a competitive environment and create issues among coworkers when you work for a slower paced center. My experience with branch goals helps the team collaborate together to achieve goals and work with a cohesive mindset.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The wages are great but the benefits are not good. The health benefits are expensive and only offer high deductible plans. This is not beneficial to many people with health issues. It is also not great how you have to participate in the vitality thing to earn HSA benefits and discounts.
