Your experience varies greatly depending on department & store manager at each location. There is a lot of overreaction in response to sales and theft, rather than executing a thought out plan that may be effective. Finding the tools to do your job best is also difficult at most locations.

  • To help the employee shortage because of the pandemic, they raised the starting wage to $15.00. Which was the top out pay for current associates. So in response they gave everyone 50 cent raises. They promised another raise in September for its long term associates. Then it got postponed to the end of fall, late November. November came and went, the next thing I hear is after Christmas. Now it's January 2022,and we heard there will be no raises for its long-term associates. I have worked for the company 15 years, and a 16 year old kid can come in and make 50 cents less than me. They have been dangling raises over our heads. But yet the president of fred meyer made 22 million last year and they can't give us 50 more cents at least. What about all our hard work over the years dedicated to this company only to be slapped in the face with no raises. This is the cheapest company ever

  • non union store here, our store went 3 years with no raises. Corporate camera in finally, we only got a 10 cent raise. Biggest joke ever.

  • When u reach so many hours. Not based on ur quality

  • It’s ok. I don’t agree that raises should be by the hours you work. Raises should be based on quality of work. If I work better & harder, why should someone that just does the bare minimum & works crappy make the same as me

  • Depends on the person. Some are good, some arent

  • The leadership of the sales teams need help they are overwhelmed with trying to meet goals that are impossible to meet. Reason: Corporate needs to understand in order to meet goals first each department needs to be staffed not just one shift but all shifts and not with twenty part time but Full Time. Sales would go up and goals would be made

  • It took me a year of interviewing before I was hired. Each store or district does their own interviews. Other places only took a couple interviews.
