The few good remaining employees are demoralized, over worked and marginalized, that all needs to change

The proliferation of contractors leads to people with a don't care attitude and piles of tech debt

What is the best part about your compensation package?

rsus are being doled out 1x per year and bonuses 1x per year, which means 2 opportunities annually for equity grants

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Gap is terrible at sharing equity with it's tech employees considering how hard they work, how crucial all of the tech is to Gap's success and how bad their benefits are

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

There is so much churn, people need to figure out the work that actually needs to be done and do that instead of the the things that they shouldn't be doing that keep them busy and under performing

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

They need to fire the CTO and bring in a new executive that is actually capable and have them rebuild the tech arm of Gap. At this point 99% of good people have been laid off or left.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Gap is the worst environment to get rewarded for performance, there are all these political plays being made & promotions are only made if you are "In". The svps and cto have no clue how to run a performant organization. The wrong people are retained and the good ones driven out or marginalized.
