What makes you most happy at work?
Seeing when I have done something that contributes to success for the business, whether in a supporting role or directly as a result of my effort.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The company health care plan is a good one and has been a big help throughout my GE career at a reasonable cost compared to private insurance.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are making hard decisions in an effort to make the business profitable. At the same time, they have been clear about their vision for the future and are pushing toward it.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We each have individual responsibilities, but when we need to work together or help each other, everyone pitches in and does their part without criticizing each other. Our team is very tolerant and respectful of each other's schedules. Our manager provides a good role model of this behavior.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
GE as a whole generally has a way of eliminating jerks - the people who push their work off, blame others, etc. - if they make it through the hiring process. While we may disagree sometimes, ultimately everyone is cooperatively working toward one goal of helping the company win and succeed.
