Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

We've hit the iceberg and those that could have taken the lifeboats and gone. At best, the division in which I work will become no more than a sales office serving as an interface between the customer and engineering offices overseas. We are an inconsequential part of GE with no future.

Working from home is very good.

We work well together even when working from home..

That they are experienced professionals.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Listen to the workforce rather than bully their own opinion through.

What makes you most happy at work?

Working from home is good. I don't have to spend 90 minutes in a car every day.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

It would be the option to work from home but communications from the management seems to rule that out now.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Holiday entitlement. I get to escape the torment for 25 days a year. I wish it could be more.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Bullying from the management should stop. No manager should be allowed to use the phrase "...and if you don't like it you can leave" to a meeting of the workforce. They should listen to the workforce rather than force through their own world view.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Not bullying the workforce would be a start. Don't worry though, if they don't like it, they can always leave. That is what the workforce was told by a senior manager. Listening to the aspirations of the workforce would help. Winning some orders and not alienating our biggest customer?

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The division in which I work gives the impression of one that is being wound down, I give it a year at the most. Experienced engineers are leaving and not being replaced. Junior engineers are not being recruited or trained. Quality is viewed as an overhead rather than a core activity.
