Strive for employee engagement and open communication. Lots of talk around value of employees, but need additional dialog

Hiring and promotions seem to come from outside. Limited advancement on current roles. Delivering large meaningful projects don't lead to direct individual/team rewards and advancement.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Quality, smart people that are willing to spend extra time for success. This is not in all teams, so it's very satisfying when you can find a great set of teammates.
