I started during the earlier days of the pandemic, so it's been quite a ride. Priorities have shifted and there was a reorg. Overall, though, very positive and the leaders care about communicating well and ensuring folks feel good about the changes or at least understand the why.
What makes you most happy at work?
Autonomy to really own my subject matter and domain, supportive team members, and always something different.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Base compensation could be better aligned with market, especially for Operations teams. Equity compensation will likely balance this out in the future, but currently it is significantly lower than peer companies.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We have amazing team members. Aside from being social and supportive as humans, my coworkers are always thinking about innovation, asking how to support each other, and challenging assumptions. "Yes, and" culture for sure.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team recognizes teams for their contributions and care about people. Whether it is responding to the pandemic, tragic event, or simply mental health, the team encourages us to take time for ourselves, support each other, and listens to what we need.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We can see our hard work pay off, especially this year in the pandemic. The sheer scale at we work is rewarding. You have the agency to think of ideas and execute them quickly to make an impact. That's not something you get at many private or public companies.
