The interview was situation based - they cared to know how I interact and how I function instead of only asking about the logistics of my previous employment.
Lowe's does not operate in a 100% hierarchical leadership style. Associates are allowed and encouraged to make their own decisions within their department to promote sales, employee morale and customer satisfaction.
Associates are encouraged to be themselves and make their department their own - there are plenty of rules and guidelines, but not so many and not in such a strict fashion that associates can't breathe. It's a very comfortable environment that encourages individuality and growth.
