What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team has demonstrated time and again their dedication to the ideals and goals of Madison College. They walk the walk as well as talking the talk, and truly put students' interests first.

Get out of the ivory tower. Documents are produced, but no followup to guide implementation on the ground

Getting to know employees and job duties. If concerns are raised then look into them to see if you can validate or refute, assess if training or action is needed, do not ignore issues/problems that surface and just continue to fester.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
We get great time off, and being part of the WRS is wonderful. In addition, I feel that health benefit contributions are generous.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I felt undervalued, because I wasn't receiving consistent feedback, so I didn't know if I was doing a good job or not.

A notable additions in tasks/projects assigned, especially when permanently assigned, should lead to additional compensation. Compensation bands can be confusing and are not always followed when it comes to the tasked assigned vs. the title given vs. the band placement.

i would like to receive compensation to make up and exceed the CPI yearly. This hasn't happened in many years.

Pay scale that allows growth with professional developement and an understanding that we as instructors are also working in the fields we teach. The dedication and time we put towards our student population do not reflect this in an equitable way.

This is nothing against my coworkers, I just prefer to work completely remotely due to social anxiety. My coworkers are fine people, but I don't intend to have a social life while at work.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My supervisor and my team is extremely dedicated to work-life balance and is very understanding and accommodating of the needs of people, while also promoting dedication to our positions. It's very well balanced.

What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with faculty and students and learning about and encouraging their passions for learning and education. I do not live to work, and working does provide joy- but seeing the impact of what I do brings fulfillment.
