What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Very young company with lots of high energy employees.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Love the team I work with on the day to day, very high performers, easy to get along with. I don't love the department due to toxic culture.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

No clear direction for the team, overwhelming workload with no outlets for help. Build a vision for the team, build up your employees, not just manage them. Allow others to share opinions without immediately discounting them.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Executives are great but many of the issues that teams face make it to mid-level mgmt and due to their personal agenda/politics never get passed on. Advice to mid-level management: listen to your teams, stop micromanaging, and show you value your people. Advice to executives: talk to the people.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Overworked and underpaid with the expectation that we should love working for Malouf because of the "amazing" culture. We are underpaid compared to the national and local average, bring pay up to averages, not just for new hires. It would be great knowing what growth looks like in 2, 5, 10 years.
