Bad management. No appreciation, barely any recognision for hard work. Favortism. Not enough staff. Staff that call in sick all the time or dont do their work gets more praises than the actual hard workers. Toxic work enviroment. Management doesn not care about employee concerns.
What makes you most happy at work?
My coworkers make it worth comming in to work.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Listening. Communicate. Help your staff. Show and tell them you appreciate them.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are the best. They are what makes me want to come to work.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Surroundings are good. Hotel is up to date and remodeled. We have discounts for local residence even though the rates are still high.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Overworked. Not enough staff to help. Management wont help or hire extra help. They want to see how much you can take without any help.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Its was average but it did catch me off guard when i was asked when have i ever gone above and beyond for anyone. I have never worked in hospitality business before. So that was a really good question.
