I like working for meijers. They do not pay good at all. Their benefit package is one of the worst I have ever seen. I haven't stopped looking for a job since I started here because their is no incentive to stay. It seems to feel that we are all replaceable even the best of the team.
What makes you most happy at work?
Making my co-workers laugh. Hearing that I'm optimistic for my team. Feeling valued by my bosses. Knowing that I can do my job good and achieve my daily goals .
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Their is a lack of positivity in my department. From the moment I start work I hear I want to go home. Things being broke is meijers way. I constantly hear I hate this place. Not knowing what to do is meijers way. There is no positivity in the receiving department.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Involvement with the receiving department. There is no leadership. Management is to busy to involve itself in the daily minute to minute operations. Leaving the employees alone and no one to delegate. To much time is lost with lack of leadership. With no team leader and no one compensated to be one.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The pay is 12.20 an hour for receiving and it is hard work for those who are actually working hard. The compensation is the same for the people who are slackers and not doing any work. So it's left to the employees who work hard to pick up the slack without being compensated. Wish I could say more.
