New team leader one that is not still a team leader after 22 years with the company

Team means just that a team quit putting department and shifts against each other the store is a team
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Building a team and standing up for employees rather then the company is always correct even when team leaders don’t agree with the employees they need to stand behind us not always
