I used to really enjoy my job. Currently, we are so understaffed that it is impossible to properly do my job. Team members are constantly called to be back up cashiers, which means their actual job is going undone. Then Line Leaders and the Store Director wonder why the actual job isn't complete.

The claim to be a family oriented company
What makes you most happy at work?
Currently the only thing that makes me happy at work is being with some of my co workers

I appreciate the willingness to try to work with you if you have an unexpected personal situation. At least they say they will work with you.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is made up of people who work hard and help each other. However, not all teams in the store are like that and often everyone else in the store has to pick up their slack.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am maxed out on the pay scale and still make less than what I could make at fast food. Plus, everyone is on the same pay scale and there is no compensation for actually working as opposed to just showing up. The people who work hard are given more work to make up for the slackers with no more pay.
