Worked hard to get promoted, and work on transitioning. As I became more open about the process, I was harassed, discriminated against, scapegoated, shunned, gaslit, and belittled. Transphobic remarks were spoken directly to me and at me, and then denied when I went to management about them.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Diversity training, and stop being favorite. The shunning and scapegoating of the "other" is just the company's culture
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
More openminded management, and ones that don't victim shame and gaslight employee's that come to them with issues of discrimination and harassment
What makes you most happy at work?
I was not, happy at work. I often returned home so empty that even things that normally balanced me would not work. I even stopped eating most nights and mornings that I worked.
