What do you like best about the leadership team?
Very knowledgeable, easy to approach and they have a great vision for the company and the industry

The leaders are all extremely chill and foster a "we're in this together" kind of sentiment. They've been in the video space for over 10 years, and use thought leadership and technical excellence as the brand.

The leadership team is human before anything else. I think it helps a lot with their approach. Whether it's about Mux's customers or their employees, they try their best to do the right thing and welcome feedback.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Mux works hard to go above and beyond in valuing employees. Throughout the pandemic they've expensed three $15 lunches per week per employee, and provide many other generous niche perks (like $200 for headphones, and more for books and conferences). Makes me feel special!

What are some of the best things about your team?
The people at Mux are some of the smartest people. Video is hard, but Mux has the best people to take on video.

My manager somehow magically knows what's going on and helps me stay on track. My tech lead seems to know everything while being incredibly kind and humble. Everyone on my team knows their shit. It's very cool!

The team is diverse in background and skillset. It's really nice to be able to discuss and bounce ideas. Everyone is onboard to "do things the right was" and build a sustainable and scalable solution.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We have a value at Mux. "Be Human", and everyone really tries to embody that.

Thoughtfulness. We hurry projects forward but not people. We have processes that everyone uses to think through tradeoffs. We write things down as much as reasonably possible. SREs watch for struggling newbies on other teams and spend time handholding. Work conversations avoid personal drama.

What did you like most about the interview process?
They have a portion of the interview where they want to learn about your background and "what makes you you". From the little details like, "what was your favorite subject in school". It shows they really want to get to know their possible future employees.

What makes you most happy at work?
Video is exciting! So much buddy is consumed daily, the future of buddy technology is exciting. I'm happy to be working with a company that is at the forefront of video technology.
