Newfold has offered many challenges and opportunities to grow. I've had some great bosses and terrible bosses during my time. The change from good ol boy to a collaborative group has been a long time coming and was needed. I love what I do and I am allowed to excel in that.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I have been here a long time. People come and go, but the culture remains close to the same, which is positive.
What makes you most happy at work?
the sense of completion of a job well done.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our Leadership team is very engaged with helping complete company goals, migration projects etc.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
the willingness to collaborate to solve the current problem at hand. Everyone seems to have a voice, regardless of rank
What are some of the best things about your team?
How engaged my coworkers are, we have our problems, but we always seem to work together, collaborate and work towards the best solutions.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Competitive Pay for current market value of positions. I would rather stay here with a bad manager than go to a new company, because I generally enjoy my job, coworkers and leadership team.
What makes you most happy at work?
In my role, there is always a new challenge, which keeps things interesting. Newfold is not mundane or repetitive, so for those of us who like the constant change, this is a great environment to work in.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team I have now is wonderful, they seem to care, are involved and are trying to get us thru the "storming" phase of this merger. There is still much work to do to bring everything together as one cohesive group
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The way most teams work together to get things done. We do have a couple of leaders who just seem to pass the buck, but most truly want good things for the company and are willing to work hard to get them done.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We know we are being paid below market value and yes the bonus does help for Leg Web. For Leg EIG, salaries seem to reflect the years of annual increases Leg web did not get. Our benefits are not the best and I do like the add ons provided.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team is a tight little group. We work well together and can collaborate on the best possible solutions. We have worked together for a long time and with the changes in staffing, normalizing is taking some time. We are all a little stressed and struggling to get things where they need to be.
