Things were not perfect, but they were OK and there was a blend of everyone from all over. Its really hard to speak of diversity when you pull employees out of state side. Some cities are known as the most diverse AND technical, but Newfold/Web decided to pull out and move more offshore.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Nothing is perfect. Experiences are up and down depending on leadership, regrettably more so on the downside depressing slope. It's extremely challenging to recommend Newfold for employment when items once existed are no more due to massive amount of migrations offshore or back filled offshore.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Cannot think of response at this time.
What makes you most happy at work?
My colleagues and the way we are able to connect and be candid with each other. We work through things, problems with customers, each other, we talk things out, and more. Other teams sadly do not always have that freedom.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The culture was good, however due to turnover with overseas offshore support, later company acquisition/merger, layoffs occurring result in difficulty making/KEEPing connections. Seeing some not even given opportunity to try for positions, or learn items outside normal duties to attempt advancement.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Amount of work conducted/performed makes it very difficult for any downtime for other things offered such as Leadership trainings. Times created, although we are global or were already global, make it hard for some to attend. Supervisors/managers not always sure how to handle hourly workers.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The team is great, we all communicate and conversation is great with each other. We can help cover each other when backup is needed. We enjoy learning from each other, sharing personal, business, and tech related items, and things to help us grow within the tech field.
