The gentleman who interviewed was to the point and knew what to ask and was confident in job and self.
By not bending to the will of customers who throw tanturms or degrade and cuss at employees. By not keeping upper management that guilt trips employees when they are sick. By allowing managers to hire people when they need it not just when the area manager thinks they do.
High managment like the area manager needs to stop playing favorites with his stores and help them all out equally. Very bad habit of only helping some stores at the last moment and only if district or regional managers are in town for that specific store. Blames others for his failures.
Coworkers need to do their job without complaint of their job description though will only happen if fairly compensated for the work they do. That said some need to figure out that the workplace is for work and not to play on your phone and chat with each other like your on vacation.
Upper management needs to figure out what they are doing. Putting stress on general managers for situations their boss ties their hands on is NOT helping. Sticking to company policy for ALL customers and not just for those who don't put in bad surveys. Look for ways to reward crew and not punish.
I have been told by multiple general managers that they prefer myself on shift when they are not because I can handle a shift, meaning I do not call them everytime a rush hits. If I was paid for my work that was comprable to competing companies that pay their managers more for the same job.
