This is the first place I have ever worked where I was made to feel like an equal. Where my work was not considered of secondary importance, something "anyone could do". I have a real sense of investment in the things for which I am responsible, and am proud of my accomplishments.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Unlimited PTO and the company pays a large chunk of my health insurance, which means a great deal to me, financially.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is as passionate about UI/UX as I am. We all treat one another with respect, consideration, and kindness, including when it comes to asking for (or receiving) feedback.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to just do my work, and make progress. And being able to do it from the comfort of my own home, where it is quiet and without external distractions.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They don't treat us like cogs. I reach out to any member of the team if I have a question or an issue, and I will get a real response back from them in as timely a manner as possible. Even the CEO.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The work I do is valued as just as important as any other form of development (front end vs back end). There is no "competition" between any of devs or dev teams - we are all working together, not trying to one-up each other. Everyone is willing to help anyone else, if they can.
