The meetings are a waste of time if they only focus on telling people to go and do their jobs which you can't do if you're at a pointless meeting.

My team of salary managers are great but they are held back from performing their jobs by the corporate management team.

The compensation is little if not minimal so the same goes with the new hires. Hire and train associates to a level were they have at least basic knowledge of the company processes and expectations.

Sears is a collaborative environment but management doesn't listen to feedback.

There's too much apathy and inaction. Maybe if the company was healthier the mood would improve, but I don't see that happening.

I would not say the issues can be fixed at this level. The expectations are that you do the job at the same standards set previously that you had double and in some stores 3 times the amount of staffing you are currently given. Can’t reach sales goals if there are not people to assist
