
Treat employees with respect rather than paid servants. Stop discouraging employees from joining a Union. Be honest with employees about reasons for policy change.
Employees are treated like cattle or just a number. Company tries to maintain its "culture," but has become too focused on profits and appeasing shareholders to able to honestly say that they care about the employees.
Stop making decisions that only benefit those at the top. They spent $500 million on stock buybacks in 2017. That is $500 million less that was paid out out to employees through profit-sharing. The stock buy backs lift the stock price which benefits those at the top whose bonuses are paid with stock
The company needs to do a better job screening candidate for my department. Its a physical job, and they hire a lot of people who are clearly NOT interested in performing physical labor. The employees that come to work ready to work get along great. The lazy people are seen as outsiders.
The pay scale is reviewed every 2 years. The increase in pay scale is around 1% which is not much, and is usually accompanied by negative changes to the attendance policy or increases in out of pocket med. benefits costs. You never truly get a raise because the always take it back in some other way/
