I enjoy working at GEO and have made positive progress in my career. The downside is that the company has archaic systems and views about work schedules by not supporting flexible work arrangement.
Overall I am very happy working at GEO. I am at Director level or above and I do wish that they would spend more time and money developing and coaching leaders as well as holding bad leadership accountable.
My team is amazing, hard-working professionals.
People genuinely care about each other
Making a difference in the lives of others.
Helping someone else accomplish their goals
My team has a great attitude and work ethic.
Employee engagement is good. Monthly birthday celebrations, coffee, Friday bagels
I have a very loyal and committed team who are a pleasure to work with.
Supporting my team and coaching and mentoring them to be the future leaders of the company
The GEO leadership team is committed to providing best in class service to those individuals in our care.
the leadership team exhibits professionalism, and genuine care not only for the welfare of the employees, but also individuals within our facilities.
I feel undervalued because my manager excludes me from meetings, decisions, and goes directly to my staff instead of allowing me to direct my team.
There is a high degree of loyalty among the employees, many have long tenure with the company. People work hard and are pleasant to work with.
I would feel better about my compensation if I was paid the same as the men who have the same title as mine and overall have less experience. I believe the company should do an overall compensation review and level up those of us who are underpaid.
I make less money than others in a similar position and the leadership seems to only gives promotions and increases based on factors other than level of responsibility and contributions. There is not a clear path to promotion and raises are given before performance reviews are even completed.
