My experience at GEO is a good one. I enjoy the accountability and support from upper management. One of my biggest frustrations is how our facility doesn't spend money on simple fixes and upgrades. Our scanner/copier doesn't work properly. Our phones are old.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our willingness to help one another.
What makes you most happy at work?
I'm busy. I'm learning. I get to hire people and give them jobs.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The only way to feel better about compensation is to be compensated fairly. I am undervalued because my hourly rate is not where it should be. No pizza party or staff appreciation week will change that.
