The management is ridiculous. I have had one sentence said to me from the 'director'. He sleeps or sits & stares out into the dayroom a good % of the time. There is too much to say- but I would absolutely NOT recommend- nor would the 8 other staff who have left before me. Nor would 2/4 who are left.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The leadership at Graham is horrible. Wes sleeps a LOT or complains. Tom is inappropriate to females, sleeps, talks about his personal life in groups, does not open case files. HU 17 carries 16 in the 3 months I was there. Corp doesn't care. Computers outdated. Wardens/clients upset. Staff quitting.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
2 coworkers I worked with were great- one quit for a better job & one is currently looking. I already accepted another position with better income. My supervisor is knowledgeable but changes her mind daily about things- which is frustrating. The other 3 staff in opposite HU I would not recommend.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I went to 2 job interviews & was offered 50% more at both. My coworker quit bc he was offered twice as much elsewhere. I am leaving within 10 work days & it is because of LEADERSHIP and PAY. I love what the program stands for, and I like working in a prison setting trying to teach skills. Company --
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I like the pace & responsibilities. Running the groups & conversations is a huge plus- we have good life conversations. There is no AC in the dayrooms- gets very hot. The one staff I get along with is the one also looking for work & I am in my last 10 days there. The other 1 left for another job als
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I need much more than 300 characters to tell this. I have never worked for a more disinterested, mess of a company. The clients - all 240 of them are upset with how this is being run. The 6 staff before me - all quit at the same time. The 3 staff hired with me- 2/3 quit & 1 is still looking.
