I have only been here 60 days. My overall experience has been positive. I like my Coworkers, Management, and my workload. I do not know what type of advancement opportunities I will have at GEO, but I hope to be here at least several years.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like contributing in helping someone change their life in a positive manner.
What are some of the best things about your team?
1. Very knowledgeable. 2. Good comradery. 3. Macro-manage 4. Clear instruction. 5. Diversity
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team are all knowledgeable with their particular duties and responsibilities. If I ask any of them a question directly or indirectly related to their field, I am confident I am getting good instruction.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My position is the lowest compensated in my particular organization, that is fair. However, in some instances I have higher education and more overall experience than the next pay grade level and get paid less only because of the title/label of positions.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The management team/assistants is a very diverse unit (four men/nine women, four African-American, six white, one Hispanic, one Native American and one other. I have not been here long enough (60 days) to know the office politics yet, but I also feel this speaks to the professionalism within my org
